Operated by Ceto Cloud Limited Last updated: June 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) set out the agreement between you and Ceto Cloud Limited for your use of the MyCeto platform. By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or otherwise using MyCeto, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data.
1. Definitions
In these Terms:
- “MyCeto”, “the platform”, or “the service” means the MyCeto web, mobile, and connected applications operated at
myceto.cetocloud.comand associated subdomains, including the Virtual Aquarium builder, water testing and dosing tools, livestock tracking, telemetry features, and the MyCeto AI assistant. - “MyCeto AI” means the AI assistant feature within MyCeto that generates informational responses about your aquarium.
- “Digital Twin” means the structured virtual representation of your aquarium system that you build and maintain within MyCeto.
- “Your Content” means any data you upload, enter, or generate within MyCeto, including aquarium configurations, water test results, livestock records, and dosing plans.
- “we”, “us”, or “our” means Ceto Cloud Limited.
- “you” or “your” means the individual or organisation using the service.
2. Who we are
MyCeto is operated by Ceto Cloud Limited, a company registered in England & Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]), with its registered office at 1247 Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, BH7 6BP, UK.
Connected hardware devices that may interoperate with MyCeto are manufactured by Ceto Group Ltd; those devices and their firmware are governed by separate terms supplied with the device.
You can contact us at support@cetocloud.com.
The MyCeto platform and its intellectual property are owned by Ceto Technology Limited, an affiliated company registered in England & Wales (company number [CETO TECHNOLOGY COMPANY NUMBER]), and are operated under licence by Ceto Cloud Limited as the trading company.
3. The service
MyCeto is a Digital Aquarium Twin platform for marine, freshwater, and brackish aquarium keepers. The service allows you to:
- build and maintain a virtual model of your aquarium system, its equipment, containers, and connections;
- record and track livestock, consumables, and dosing plans;
- log water chemistry manually and import laboratory ICP test results;
- connect compatible third-party telemetry providers to view sensor data; and
- ask questions of MyCeto AI and receive informational, aquarium-aware responses.
MyCeto is offered across several plan tiers with differing features and limits, as described at checkout and within the application. Some features are available only on paid tiers.
We may add, change, or remove features over time. Where a change materially reduces the core functionality of a paid plan, we will give you reasonable advance notice.
4. Informational use only — no professional advice
This section is important, please read it carefully.
MyCeto, including MyCeto AI, reference ranges, dosing calculations, and any guidance generated by the platform, is provided for informational and organisational purposes only. It is not professional aquatic, veterinary, chemical, or husbandry advice, and must not be relied upon as such.
Aquarium chemistry and livestock health depend on many factors specific to your system that the platform cannot fully observe or verify. You remain solely responsible for every decision you make about your aquarium, livestock, dosing, and equipment. Always apply your own judgement and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
We accept no liability for harm to livestock, coral, equipment, or property arising from your reliance on information presented in or generated by MyCeto, to the fullest extent permitted by law (see section 15).
5. MyCeto AI
MyCeto AI generates responses using artificial intelligence models. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and should be independently verified before you act on it;
- MyCeto AI responses are tailored using the Digital Twin data you provide, so the quality of any response depends on the accuracy of that data;
- responses are generated automatically and are not reviewed by a human before you receive them; and
- usage of MyCeto AI may be subject to daily limits, rate limits, and other fair-use controls that vary by plan.
You agree not to rely on MyCeto AI as your sole basis for any decision that could affect the safety of livestock, people, or property.
6. Fair use and acceptable AI usage
MyCeto AI and other automated features consume significant computational resources. To keep the service fast, affordable, and available to all users, your use of these features must be reasonable and consistent with ordinary personal management of your own aquarium(s). In particular, you must not:
- attempt to circumvent, disable, manipulate, or exceed any usage limit, rate limit, quota, or fair-use control applied to your plan;
- use automated, scripted, or programmatic means to generate requests to MyCeto AI or any other feature, except through interfaces we expressly provide for that purpose;
- generate a volume or frequency of requests that is excessive, abusive, or disproportionate to normal individual use, or that is designed to consume resources rather than obtain genuine assistance;
- submit deliberately repetitive, malformed, looping, or adversarial inputs intended to waste computational resources, inflate usage, or degrade the service for other users;
- use MyCeto AI for purposes unrelated to your own aquariums, including bulk content generation, resale or redistribution of outputs, or building or training a competing product or model; or
- attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or replicate the underlying AI models, prompts, retrieval data, or training data.
We may monitor aggregate usage to detect abuse. Where we reasonably consider that your usage breaches this section, we may apply additional rate limiting, temporarily restrict access to affected features, require an upgrade to an appropriate plan, or, in cases of serious or repeated abuse, suspend or terminate your account under section 13. Where practical, we will give notice before taking action, but we may act immediately where necessary to protect the service or other users.
7. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. We strongly recommend enabling multi-factor authentication where available; it is mandatory for administrator accounts.
Each account is personal to you. You may not share your account credentials or allow others to access the service through your account, except where the service expressly provides for shared or organisational access.
Please notify us promptly at support@cetocloud.com if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
8. Plans, billing, and payments
8.1 Free and paid tiers
MyCeto offers a free tier and one or more paid subscription tiers. The features, limits, and prices of each tier are shown within the application and at checkout. We may change the composition of tiers from time to time, subject to the notice provisions below.
8.2 Subscriptions and renewals
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you choose. By subscribing, you authorise us (and our payment processor) to charge your chosen payment method on each renewal date until you cancel. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
8.3 Payment processing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe and, where applicable, by a merchant of record acting on our behalf. We do not store full payment card details. Your use of the payment process is also subject to the payment provider’s own terms.
8.4 Taxes
Prices are shown inclusive or exclusive of VAT as indicated at checkout. Where we are required to collect VAT or other applicable taxes (including under the EU One-Stop-Shop scheme for sales to consumers in the EU), these will be applied at the rate in force for your location.
8.5 Usage limits
Certain features carry usage limits (for example, MyCeto AI daily question limits and ICP import allowances per provider over a rolling period). These limits are described within the application and form part of your plan. See also section 6 (Fair use).
8.6 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing area within the application. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you retain access to paid features until that date. If you do not renew, your account reverts to the free tier or is paused, and your data is retained in accordance with section 13 and our Privacy Policy.
8.7 Refunds
Except where required by applicable law (including your statutory rights as a consumer), subscription fees and other charges are non-refundable, and no credit is issued for partial billing periods.
8.8 Price changes
We may change subscription prices. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of any increase by email or in-app notice. The new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period; if you do not wish to accept it, you may cancel before it takes effect.
9. Your Content and data
You retain all ownership of Your Content. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing MyCeto to you, including generating Digital Twin views, snapshots, and MyCeto AI responses.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and use any content you submit, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.
We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law. All user data is hosted within the AWS London (eu-west-2) region.
10. Acceptable use
In addition to the fair-use rules in section 6, you agree not to:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law or regulation;
- attempt to access any account, system, or data that does not belong to you, or otherwise compromise the security or integrity of the service;
- introduce malicious code or interfere with the normal operation of the platform;
- copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute any part of the service without our prior written consent;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law; or
- use the service to store or transmit content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringing.
We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably believe these rules have been breached.
11. Third-party integrations
MyCeto can connect to third-party services, including ICP laboratory providers and aquarium telemetry controllers. We are not affiliated with these providers unless expressly stated, and we are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of data they supply.
Where you provide credentials to connect a third-party device or account, you confirm you are entitled to do so under that provider’s terms, and you authorise us to access that platform on your behalf solely to retrieve and store your data within MyCeto. Such credentials are encrypted at rest and are not disclosed to others except as necessary to operate the feature.
12. Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in MyCeto, including its software, design, structure, branding, and curated reference content, are owned by Ceto Technology Limited and operated under licence by Ceto Cloud Limited. These Terms grant you only a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service as intended; they do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you.
13. Availability, suspension, and termination
We aim to keep MyCeto available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or changes, and may modify or discontinue parts of the service.
You may close your account at any time. Where the application provides an in-app account deletion option, you may use it; otherwise contact us at support@cetocloud.com. On deletion, your personal data is erased in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to a short grace period during which deletion may be reversed, and subject to records we are legally required to retain (for example, billing and tax records, which we keep for the period required by law).
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms (including the fair-use rules in section 6) or where we are required to do so by law. On termination, your right to use the service ends.
14. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors, or that any data or output will be accurate or complete. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits your statutory rights as a consumer where those rights cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
Subject to the above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of or harm to livestock, coral, or equipment, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service; and
- our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising under or in connection with these Terms will not exceed the total amount you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
16. Data protection
We process personal data as a data controller in accordance with the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, and other applicable data protection laws. Full details of what we collect, how we use it, the lawful bases we rely on, the sub-processors we use, and how you can exercise your rights are set out in our Privacy Policy.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using the service and close your account.
18. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in the EU or elsewhere, you may also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.
19. General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours in connection with a reorganisation or sale of the business, provided your rights are not adversely affected.
